Winter Sessions
at Homefield – Olathe
Experience Sporting Rec. League Indoors
During our Winter Sessions, your child will have the opportunity to play in a 6-game season, learning the game of soccer and making memories with their teammates. They will have a fun, safe and quality soccer experience.
Winter Sessions are available for Boys & Girls, Pre-K through 3rd Grade. All games are held indoors at Homefield – Olathe in Olathe, KS.

The majority of Pre-K and Kindergarten teams will play on Saturday.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade teams should be prepared to play during all time blocks.
Friday: 5:30-8:30PM
Saturday: 11AM-5PM

Registration Includes
- Games at Homefield – Olathe
- Medals for all participants
- Referees for 2nd & 3rd Grade games
- Support from Sporting KC staff
Registration does not include:
Practice Fields
Teams can practice during the week if they choose to. However, we will not organize or pay for practice fields.
Uniforms
We will not provide uniforms for Winter Sessions. Instead of uniforms, teams should choose a color shirt to wear. Numbers on the back are not required.
We will provide pinnies to the away team in the event both teams have the same or similar color shirt.
Coach Discount
The head coach of each team will receive a 10% discount for their player's registration.
Head coaches are reimbursed at the end of the season after fulfilling their coaching commitment.
Only head coaches receive a registration discount.
Refund Policy
Participants may request a refund before the season begins. Refunds requested after the beginning of the season may be denied.
Refunds or adjustment of league fees will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Sporting Rec. League administration.
Administrative fees may apply.
Forming a Team
All players are assigned to a team for the season. During registration, you can either register an individual player or an entire team.
Players will be assigned to a team in their grade based on a combination of factors, including the school they attend and any special requests submitted during registration.
Registering a Team With Different Age Groups
If you're registering a team with players from different age groups, you should register in the age group of the oldest player.
I.e., a team with Pre-K and Kindergarten players should register in the Kindergarten division.
Team Coaches
All teams are coached by parent volunteers. No previous experience is necessary and Sporting KC Youth Soccer will provide the necessary support and equipment.
All coaches will be required to pass a background check and be SafeSport certified.
